Known for Quality Historical Men's Military Uniforms and Civilian Clothing Reproductions- Since 1975
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS ON OUR WEBSITE.....Almost every day we discover several web sites selling and/or renting reproduction historical uniforms have chosen to "borrow" the copyrighted photos of our uniforms from our web site without our authorization. We have asked these companies to remove our copyrighted photos from their web sites, but apparently they see no harm in misleading you and committing copyright infringement. Please be warned that if you order from them, you will not be getting a Quartermaster Shop garment, even though their web site displays pictures of our uniforms. The Quartermaster Shop has NO association with such unethical business practices and companies that do not honor copyright laws.
Only three Sutlers have asked and received permission to use the images shown on our web site Gay Frazer of Frazer Brothers in Dallas, Texas and USHist / AzRAHist Resources and Reproductions owned by Mr. Terry Leavey. These two dealers sell our uniforms exclusively, and you will be assured of getting garments made by us if you order from them. The Fall Creek Sutler sells uniforms from several makers, and will supply a uniform made by us if you specifically request it. Also, several clubs who buy their uniforms from us have asked for and received permission to use our photos on their web sites to help inform the public of their particular club's interest. In these cases, we have asked that a statement appear near the photo that acknowledges permission was given to use our uniform photo. We understand why other companies may be tempted to simply copy our photos instead of taking photos of their own uniforms. Taking good photographs takes a lot of time! We simply cannot understand why anyone would mislead a potential customer! A web site visitor assumes that a picture showing a product is a picture of the product they will get if they purchase. This is not the case if a company steals a photo from someone else! By using our photographs and not selling our uniforms, these companies steal from us and mislead you, the customer. Customers are cheated by getting a uniform of lesser quality than the one that they saw "in the picture". The worst part of the situation is; when these disappointed customers finally find our web site and then see the same pictures on our site as the other company is using, they assume we are somehow connected to the company that is-lead them on their previous uniform purchase! And that hurts! If something is good enough to sell, shouldn't it be good enough to show to the customer before they buy it? |
