MOUNTED SERVICES TRIMMED SHELLJACKET (Used from 1852 thru 1871).
-Made from our quality 19 oz field service wool, these jackets are fully lined with natural cotton
and have the back bolsters to support the waist belt.
Our jackets feature as standard the quality worsted wool (mohair)
lace. These waist
length jackets were worn by many Union Cavalry and Light Artillery units
throughout the War and early in the war.
The jacket has a
12 button front, 2 button functional cuffs, and 2 buttons on each side
of the collar. The 1/2”
size US General Service buttons are supplied with this coat but not sewn
on.
