Civil War era US State Militia
Enlisted Jacket- (often called a
Roundabout) An untrimmed
jacket, the roundabout was a carry over from the Mexican War period. It was used
by several Union States as their State Militia Uniform coat. It is made
from our standard 19 oz field service wool and is natural cotton lined, with an
inside pocket and 9 button front. US Eagle (medium sized) buttons
are supplied. Tube
style sleeves (non functional) without buttons. The coat has a standing
collar about 1-1/2" high.
Several options, such as Shoulder Straps,
Belt Loops and exterior pockets can be added to this jacket for several different
Militia impressions. Click
