The Washington Artillery of New Orleans was a very elite unit of pre-War militia. They were in the Army of Northern Virginia and served with distinction in many campaigns. The officer’s cap shown here is a copy of the cap worn by Lt Col Owen.
It has two rows of deluxe gold Flat braid on the front, sides, back and in the quatrefoil on top. There is no circle of braid around the quatrefoil. Six rows are placed on the sides of the cap.
A large size Artillery Officer’s embroidered badge is available as an option if you would like to add this.
