M-1887 ENLISTED DRESS COAT for CAVALRY- In
1885, the Army Uniform board made some slight changes to the 1872 dress
coats.
These included changing the collar to be entirely solid branch of service color and the belt loops
were dropped.
Also, the special trim design in the back of the skirt has been
modified somewhat. The 1885 Cavalry version retained the 1872 Lemon Yellow
color trim. In 1887, the Cavalry trim color was changed to a darker
shade of Yellow- as seen here.
Made in the USA!
The 1885 Gold lace Chevrons were used
with the new trim color as back ground. The 1887 Dress Coat features our Deluxe Dark Blue wool fabric.
