The 1872
Infantry Dress Coat is shown above with optional First
Sgt Chevrons and 20 year service stripes. On the above
coat the lower stripe indicates that the first 5 year enlistment was spent
in the Artillery (red stripe), the second 5 year enlistment was in the
Cavalry during War (yellow with red underlay). The third and fourth stripes
indicate an additional 10 years has been completed in the Infantry.

The 1872 Ordnance Dept Dress Coat (shown
with optional chevrons) has Crimson
trim color. The 1872 Hospital Steward Dress Coat would have Emerald Green trim color and
the Hospital Steward half chevrons.

M-1872 ENLISTED FOOT DRESS COAT- (for Infantry, Heavy Artillery, Ordnance and Hospital Stewards)-
Made using our quality 16 oz deluxe dark blue wool with a natural corset jean
body lining. The Foot soldier's dress coat features a longer skirt and different back trim style than the Mounted
services dress coat.
The skirt length is about 2" shorter than the Civil War era
Frockcoats. Our Skirt is left raw as per originals.
